Best Time To Visit

The Best Time to visit Kruger National Park is during the dry season, from May to October. During this period, wildlife congregates around the remaining waterholes, making them easier to spot. The weather is also cooler and more comfortable for game drives, and the bush is less dense, offering better visibility. Travellers must carry warm layers for early-morning drives to fight the cold. The wet season, from November to April, brings lush greenery to the park, which can make wildlife viewing a bit more challenging due to the thicker vegetation. Safari tourists can spot migratory birds between October and March. Between November and January, the park becomes an ideal place for photographers. However, this is the best time for birdwatching, as migratory birds arrive in the park, and the landscape is vibrant and lush. The dry season attracts a large number of visitors, with many congregating around the water bodies, clear sights amid the thinner vegetation, and cool mornings and pleasant afternoons.
