The Best Time to Visit Lake Baringo is during the dry season, from June to October, when the weather is sunny and clear. This period is ideal for birdwatching, boating, and fishing, as the lake’s waters are calm, and wildlife is more active. The rainy season (from March to May) brings lush vegetation and an abundance of birdlife but can make some roads around the lake muddy. Visitors during the rainy months should prepare for occasional showers. The shoulder months of November and December are also good for visiting, offering mild temperatures and fewer tourists.
