Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Distance: 265km | Time: 5 – 6 hrs
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
06:00 – 07:30 hrs: Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or residence. If arriving on an early morning flight, an airport pickup will be arranged.
08:00 hrs: Once the group is ready, depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, travelling through Masai country and exploring the scenic Great Rift Valley floor.
Along the way, pass local homesteads and see Maasai herdsmen tending to their cattle in traditional colourful wraps.
Make a stop to stretch and admire the breathtaking Rift Valley escarpment before continuing the journey.
Arrive in Masai Mara in the afternoon and embark on your first game drive, exploring the savannah landscape dotted with acacia trees. This rich and diverse ecosystem has the highest wildlife concentration in the region, offering incredible animal sightings.
Overnight at your choice of Mara Sopa Lodge, Olmoran Tented Camp, Mara Chui Camp, Mara Enkorok Camp, or Elangata Olerai Camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Distance: 265 km | Time: 5 hrs
Meal Plan: Breakfast
After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge or camp, your driver/guide will assist with checkout before beginning the journey back to Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city.
Along the way, your guide will point out Mount Longonot, an extinct stratovolcano southeast of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Believed to have last erupted in the 1860s, its name comes from the Maasai word "Oloonong’ot," meaning "mountains of many spurs" or "steep ridges".
Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon, around 16:30 hrs (4:30 pm).
For an additional experience, you may choose to:
- Stop in Naivasha for lunch or excursions at an extra cost.
- Pass by Kiambethu Tea Farm for a tea farm tour, including a three-course buffet lunch (additional cost).
- Drive directly to Nairobi, where you will be transferred to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure.
