Day 1: Lake Manyara National Park Safari
After an early breakfast, set out on a 3–4-hour drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive, the best time to spot wildlife in the park.
Approaching from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment forms a striking backdrop to Lake Manyara. In the groundwater forest, monkeys swing between branches, while elephants seek shade on the escarpment. The park is also home to zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and more.

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside this wildlife-rich caldera. Known as one of Tanzania’s best wildlife viewing areas, it offers a chance to spot the rare black rhino along with prides of lions, including the impressive black-maned males.
The crater’s lakes and wetlands attract flamingoes and a variety of water birds, creating a vibrant scene. Other wildlife sightings may include leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, and small mammals.

After breakfast, set off on a three-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, a prime wildlife destination, especially in the dry season. During this time, migratory animals return to the Tarangire River, the park’s main water source.
Expect to see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx, all gathering in search of water before the rains arrive. The park’s diverse landscape and abundant wildlife make it a spectacular final safari experience.
