Day 1: Welcome to Uganda – Arrival in Entebbe
When you land at Entebbe International Airport, located by Lake Victoria, your private safari driver will be there to welcome you. After a short drive, you’ll check into your hotel in Entebbe. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore nearby attractions like Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Mabamba Wetland, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, or the Uganda Wildlife Education Center.

Day 2: Fly to Bwindi & Waterfall Hike
In the morning, you’ll head to the airport for a scenic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the ultimate gorilla trekking destination. After a 1.5-hour flight, another driver will meet you and take you on a beautiful 1-hour drive to your lodge.
After lunch and some rest, you’ll go on a guided hike to Munyaga Waterfall, a 3-hour trek through the lush rainforest. This is a great way to experience the park’s beauty before your gorilla trek. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience
After breakfast, you’ll go to the park headquarters for a briefing and registration before starting your gorilla trek. A local community group will entertain you before a park ranger explains the trekking rules. You’ll then grab a walking stick, put on your mask, and begin your journey into Bwindi Forest.
The trek lasts 1 to 6 hours, with chances to see primates, rare trees, colourful birds, and butterflies before you finally meet the mountain gorillas. You’ll spend one magical hour watching and photographing them in their natural habitat.
After a hearty meal at the lodge, you’ll visit the Batwa people, the original forest dwellers, to learn about their ancient traditions and way of life.

Day 4: Fly Back to Entebbe
After breakfast, you’ll check out of the lodge and head to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, you’ll connect to your next safari destination or catch your flight home, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
