Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro – 3.5-Hour Drive
At 8:00 AM, your La Pisada Africa Safaris driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel, residence, or preferred location in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser to begin your safari adventure.
Drive through Maasai country, where you may spot Maasai herders tending to their cattle as you head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the crater rim, take in the stunning views before descending into this lush, wildlife-rich ecosystem.
Inside the crater, you will find an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, zebras, and more, all thriving within the remnants of an ancient volcano.
As the day ends, ascend back to the crater rim for a breathtaking sunset, a perfect way to conclude the day.

Today, journey to Tanzania’s oldest and largest wildlife reserve, the Serengeti. Along the way, stop at Oldupai Gorge, a significant archaeological site where fossilized human remains and ancient tools have provided valuable insights into early human history.
Continue to the Serengeti, an endless, treeless plain stretching to the horizon. Here, witness large herds of wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, and impalas, alongside predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Begin an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast landscapes where over 50,000 buffalo roam freely.

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti with unlimited game drives and time to unwind at your accommodation. This renowned national park, recognized as one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of Africa," is home to millions of animals and more than 500 vibrant bird species.
Take a midday break for lunch and relaxation before resuming your wildlife-tracking adventure. Look out for both large and small creatures, including honey badgers, wild dogs, monkeys, and baboons. The journey also takes you to the Serengeti’s rivers, where hippos and crocodiles may make an unexpected appearance.

Wake up early to embrace the final moments of your safari as the morning light casts a golden glow over the Serengeti’s endless plains. As the animals stir, set out on a last game drive, capturing final glimpses of the park’s iconic wildlife.
After a hearty safari breakfast, head to the airstrip for your scenic flight back to Arusha. Enjoy stunning aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes, from vast savannahs to rolling forests.
Arrive in Arusha around 12:45 PM, where a driver will meet you for your transfer to your hotel or residence.
