5 Days Group Joining Safari in Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, a La Pisada Africa Safaris representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha City. You will receive a detailed safari briefing, including the itinerary, accommodations, and the confirmed pick-up time for the next day’s adventure.

After breakfast, depart from Arusha, making a brief stop in Arusha Town for any last-minute purchases. Continue the journey to Tarangire National Park, where a game drive and a picnic lunch await.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population and ancient baobab trees. The park is a vital part of an annual migration, attracting 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.

Distance: 200km | Time: 2 – 3 hrs
 
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, descend into the Serengeti’s vast open plains, where the landscape stretches endlessly.

Arrive at the Seronera region, a prime wildlife habitat sustained by the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a variety of wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park.

Spending another day in Serengeti National Park means more opportunities to experience its incredible wildlife. Enjoy a half-day game drive, exploring different areas of the park and spotting diverse animals in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will have dinner and rest, preparing for the next day’s crater exploration.

Distance: 210km | Non-game viewing time: 3 – 4 hrs

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking wildlife haven. With a year-round water supply, the area sustains wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and large elephants.
 
The crater is also home to a high concentration of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards, often requiring a keen eye to spot. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwest, where flamingos, hippos, and various water birds gather.

In the late afternoon, transfer to Karatu for the night.

After breakfast, check out and depart with a packed lunch for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The lake covers a significant part of the park, while the forest begins at the gate, stretching along the base of the Great Rift Valley, with hot springs to the west.

Lake Manyara is home to tree-climbing lions, buffalo, giraffes, hippos, and baboons. You will also see pink flamingos, ostriches, Egyptian geese, and other bird species. After a picnic lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive, followed by a visit to a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
 
Arrive in Arusha in the evening.
