You can take a wine tram from Franschhoek, where you can get off at different estates at your own pace. Yes. The Winelands are safe for their visitors. Just like any unfamiliar place, don’t wander around at night, keep your valuables close, and use secure transport options. Don’t get into interactions with strangers.

The best time to visit the Winelands is during the dry winter months, from October to April. The weather remains dry and sunny during this time of the year. The best time for a wildlife safari is when wild animals congregate around waterbodies.

On your trip to the Winelands, pack neutral-coloured, lightweight, breathable clothing so you can immerse yourself in nature on game drives. Carry a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sturdy, comfortable shoes, and warm layers for an early morning game drive. You might also carry a camera with a backup power source.

The must-try wine varieties include Pinotage, Chenin Blanc, and the traditional Cap Classique.

Of course, you can. But make sure you are above 18, as that’s the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol. Besides, the wine estates are spacious and enjoyable with lawns. Even children can taste grape juice and take part in engaging activities.
