Best Time To Visit

The Best Time to Visit Nyungwe Forest National Park is during the dry season, from June to September, and in December. The weather is cooler, and the trails are more accessible, making it ideal for hiking, chimpanzee tracking, and birdwatching. This period is also perfect for photographing the lush green forests and capturing the unique wildlife. The wet season, from October to May, brings heavier rains, especially from March to May. While the forest is more vibrant and the plants are lush, trekking can be more challenging, but it’s still an excellent time for birdwatching as migratory birds are present.
